Privacy Policy

marclar.tech is operated by Michael Kane. This policy explains what information this website and its connected publishing tools collect, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: email addresses submitted to the general newsletter or the separate Learning AI interest list, email addresses and messages submitted through the contact form, and anonymous answers submitted through the Ask or Story research forms. The research forms do not ask for a name or email address; please do not include identifying or sensitive details in your answers.
- Basic usage information: limited analytics such as page views, referring pages, browser type, country or region, and device type. We use this to understand which content is useful.
- Connected-platform information: when an authorized administrator connects a social account, the relevant platform may provide account identifiers, profile information, authorization tokens, upload status, and publishing results needed to operate the integration.
How we use information
We use information to deliver the updates you request, respond to messages, operate and secure the site, diagnose problems, understand site usage, and publish content to social accounts explicitly connected by their owner or administrator. Anonymous research submissions are converted into private audience-question work items and may inform future educational content. Common sensitive patterns are automatically redacted, and submissions are reviewed before anything is quoted or published. Learning AI interest-list addresses are kept on a dedicated list and are not automatically added to the general newsletter.
Social-platform integrations
Our private publishing dashboard can connect to services including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Bluesky. It uses platform authorization only to upload and manage content requested by the authorized account owner. We do not sell connected-account data or use it for advertising.
Your use of a connected platform is also governed by that platform’s own privacy policy and terms. You can revoke an integration from the platform’s account or app settings.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share the minimum information required with service providers that host the website, deliver email, protect access, provide analytics, or process an action you request. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and rights of users and the service.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, and security. Anonymous research responses are kept in a private project repository for research and editorial planning and are removed when no longer useful. Connected-platform credentials are stored in restricted server-side systems rather than browser storage. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls and data-minimization practices appropriate to the information involved.
Your choices and data deletion
You may unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter, revoke a connected social integration through that platform, or request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you. Send requests to help@marclar.tech. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
