Google is killing Gmail's multi-account feature

Google is removing Gmail's ability to manage multiple mailboxes in January. Here is how to move your domains to a cheaper provider and use a desktop client.

Here is the bad news: if you use Gmail to check mail from other mailboxes or send mail as someone else, Google is getting rid of that functionality in January.

My guess is they're trying to push you toward Google Workspace, where you have to pay for that level of control. I would not do that. Instead, move your domains to a cheaper email provider — I have one I can recommend — and set up Thunderbird, Outlook, or Apple Mail to check your inbox periodically. That becomes your actual email client.

If that sounds like your setup and you want to learn how to make the switch, comment "email" and I'll put together a guide.
