Fix Eye Strain: Force Dark Mode on Any Website

I was working with my buddy Russell and complaining about eye strain. He looked at my setup and said, "You're staring at two light bulbs all day."

I'd never thought of that. I had two big monitors with bright white backgrounds. If you work at a computer, you know that feeling.

Things have gotten better. Most operating systems and websites now support dark mode. But not all of them. Sites like Craigslist and Amazon can still be glaring eyesores.

There is a fix.

Go to darkreader.org. It offers browser extensions for every major platform, including Mac, iOS, and Android. I installed it for Firefox, and it worked instantly. Craigslist looked much better immediately.

You can click the extension and toggle dark mode on or off for specific websites. If a site looks weird in dark mode, you can turn it off just for that page.
